These pyjama's are very
easy to make and would be an ideal beginners project.
The top of the pyjama's has been styled
as a kimono wrap over top, this means the sleeve pattern is
included in the main top pattern, which makes it easy to
complete for those who are not happy with attaching sleeves
to a garment. The top also features button closures, which
are on both the inside and outside of the top for security,
these could easily be replaced with tie fastenings should
you prefer.
The trousers has been designed to be
very simple to complete. The pattern has been made to only
be a two piece pattern (you'd normally have 4 pieces in a
trouser pattern), with a simple elasticated waist.
The picture above
features two pyjama sets, only one pattern is included, to
create the pyjama's on the right with the shorts rather than
trousers you simply need to cut the pattern down to your
required length and complete as you would have done for
normal trousers.
This
pattern will require some knowledge of sewing and an
understanding of what pattern symbols mean (if you not sure
please search on line for pattern symbols or refer to a good
sewing book).
Approximate amounts of fabric required:
2-3
meters of cotton fabric (2 meters for ages 2-3, 3 meters for
ages 4-6)

measurement.
