The
dress has been designed to be a strapless full length
evening dress/ball gown, ideal for a variety of
functions.
The bodice of the dress has a straight
neckline and princess seams.
The skirt is attached to the bodice
at the waist and has a fully gathered skirt, full of volume.
The entire dress has been designed with a lining, and the bodice will require interlining as well as lining, along with boning for additional support.
The back simply fastens with a zip and a hook and eye closure.
This pattern will require a relatively good knowledge of sewing and an understanding of what pattern symbols mean (if you not sure please search on line for pattern symbols or refer to a good sewing book).

Approximate amounts of fabric required (all sizes):
4.5m Main Fabric – satins, taffetas,
silks, brocades (or other luxurious fabrics
3m Lining Fabric – cotton woven lining fabrics
0.5m Interlining – very tightly woven cottons or very dense
silk organza’s, or other specialist interlining fabrics
4.5m dress net (135cm wide)
1.5m polyester boning (wider boning is suggested for larger
sizes)
1.5m bias binding (same or larger width than the boning)
1 hook and eye fastening
35cm dress zip or concealed zip

THIS IS NOT A PRINTED PAPER PATTERN:
The patterns included are size 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, 20, 22 (see size chart below). These are FULL SIZE patterns (this is an all in one/multisized pattern so you can adjust the pattern should you be an inbetween size, and cut the size you need) , so there is no need to worry about enlarging or scaling up the patterns, all you have to do is print them off on A4 paper and assemble the pieces (full printing instructions are included) and cut out the size you need.
